Climate Change Strategy Released

Premier Anna Bligh and Climate Change and Sustainability Minister Kate Jones have launched Queensland’s new climate change strategy ClimateQ: toward a greener Queensland.

Ms Bligh said the revised climate change strategy was framed in light of the latest national and international science and policy and included $87 million in new initiatives.

Helping Queensland's planning and building sector to make the switch to a lower carbon future has been a key focus of the Bligh Government's new revised climate change strategy launched.

Climate Change and Sustainability Minister Kate Jones and Minister for Infrastructure and Planning Stirling Hinchliffe further said that ClimateQ: toward a greener Queensland was geared heavily toward a more sustainable planning and building sector.
